CONSTANT EATING

Constant eating will keep your glucose levels persistently high. For that reason, it is important for meals to be taken at fixed time with no snacking in between. When glucose levels are high, your liver will continuously produce insulin to lower it. Increased insulin levels leads to a higher chance for insulin resistance to occur.

INSULIN RESISTANCE

When the body becomes insulin resistant, it causes higher insulin and blood sugar levels. Insulin resistance can cause increased hunger and happens when cells in the muscles, fat, and liver stop responding to insulin and are unable to easily take up glucose from your blood. As a result, the pancreas makes more insulin to help glucose enter your cells. Other factors that may cause insulin resistance include high fructose intake and physical inactivity.
